Gallery for Contemporary Art
The spacial correlations of the new building of the gallery of contemporary art by
AS IF Architekten are changeable for every new exhibition due to large-scale sliding walls. While developing the lighting design concept the main focus was to support the flexibility of the architecture. A lighting and luminaire system was created which is consisting of ceiling recessed electrical sockets with LED - emergency lights, click - in spotlights and tube luminaires. The tube luminaires are using dimmable fluorescent tubes. The fixtures can rotated at the fixing point to support any room configuration easily. These linear fixtures can be used as continuous lines of light connect rooms with each other, to illuminate walls or can be oriented individually.
