Maxim Gorki Theater

In 1999 a new lighting design concept for the Maxim Gorki Theater was developed which reutilized glass crystals from the chandelier created in the 1970th. The glass structures were cleaned and weaved into crystal planes and back illuminated with modern light sources. These crystal structures have been carried out as ceiling or wall luminaires through all areas accessible for the audience. For each object 3 high-voltage 40W halogen-lamps with G9 sockets were used as well as colored LEDs which were mounted on the technical macaroon plate. The LEDs in the theater hall are emerging while dimming them main lighting before the light is switched off entirely.
